After avoiding a spinning backfist attempt from Sonnen, Silva landed a vicious knee to the body. The champ followed up with a barrage of punches, forcing the referee to step in. With the win, Silva has amassed a record 15-fight win streak, including 10 title defenses.

Fight of the Night went to Ortiz and Griffin, who engaged in an exciting back-and-forth brawl to complete their trilogy. After running backstage, Griffin returned to the Octagon to be awarded a unanimous decision victory.
