James Te Huna fought his way for a big win over Joey Beltran Wednesday night in the co-main event bout at UFC on Fuel TV: Munoz vs. Weidman, but he did so at a cost. Te Huna was placed on 180-day suspension due to possible left elbow and left foot fractures.
All of the medical suspensions were obtained byMMAjunkie.com from the California Athletic Commission. A total of seven fighters were mentioned on the report.
Te Huna told the post-fight interview show that he believed he suffered a broken hand and foot after landing a record amount of significant strikes to Beltran. It appears that is the case, as he will require doctor's clearance before returning to action.
Mark Munoz, who lost in the main event to Chris Weidman, was placed on 45-day suspension after suffering a TKO loss. He also was suspended 180 days for lacerations to his scalp and eyebrow, along with a possible fractured mandible.
Beltran, Aaron Simpson, Kenny Robertson, Josh Ferguson and Andrew Craig all received 60-day suspensions for lacerations. All of the fighters can be cleared early by a doctor. For more ufc news click here
